Music & Sound's DMC1 is the ideal fit for today's modern home. It's 30 percent smaller than previous M&S models, with a more functional yet elegant style. INtercom from room to room and safely communicate with visitors at your front door. The DMSC1 can also be upgraded to fill your home with stereo sound. Plus, the system's privacy feature will allow you to prevent anyone in the home from monitoring a particular room with just the push of a button.

The DMC1 is a voice and music intercom system with a digital AM/FM tuner and optional CD player (DMC1CD). The DMC1 master station is normally installed in a high traffic area of the home, typically the kitchen. Up to 9 remote stations (sub stations) and 3 door stations can be added. The intercom system features "hands free" answering at all stations, one-button talk/listen: push to speak, release to hear reply. Music from the radio or optional CD player is muted during intercom calls.

To communicate from a sub station, simply press the talk button and a general page is done over the system. The person you are attempting to communicate with presses the talk button and two-way hands-free communication is initiated. Door answering can be done from the master station and every sub station. There is a monitoring or "listening-in" feature used primarily to check on a baby or a family member confined to a bed. Optional 3-note or 8-note chime module can be added to the DMC1. The chime modules generate a ring tone on each sub station when a doorbell button is pressed.

Music & Sound DMC1-CD 6-Disc CD Player
The optional DMC1-CD 6-Disc CD player fills your home with over 7 hours of your favorite music. The DMC1-CD is designed to be mounted with the DMC1 master station during initial install. The CD player has a 6-Disc cartridge that is removeable for easy CD loading. From the master station you can select disc and track. The CD player can be set to several play modes: Normal, Repeat Song, Repeat Disc, Random Disc, and Random All. When the DMC1-CD is used in a system the DMC1-HC rough-in box is required.

Sub Stations

Up to 9 sub stations can be located throughout the house, each wiring directly back to the DMC1. From the sub stations the radio can be controlled, the volume level of the radio can be adjusted per sub station, each sub station can initiate a general page throughout the system, and each sub station can answer or communicate with any door station too. Up to 3 door stations can be installed. The maximum distance for both the sub station and the door station from the DMC1 is 350 feet. And the maximum length of wire used for the total system is 1000 feet.
